Earth Day is a day that we celebrate the earth, the only place in the known universe that can sustain human life. On Earth Day, we heal our planet and become more sustainable through unified acknowledgment that Earth is the most valuable thing in existence and that saving it has value.
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) Mitigation of Climate Change report, stated that we are not on target to keep global warming below 1.5°C, which means millions more could lose their lives, property, and livelihoods. Advances in technology, policymaking, and social norms have slowed global greenhouse gas emissions, but it’s not enough. Syncwatt brings the spirit and attention of Earth Day into daily life to further reduce carbon emissions.
Syncwatt makes Earth Day, every day by offering services and Earth Day Challenges that keep people in touch with sustainability and get paid for taking climate actions.
Energy Pay Alerts provide an easy way to see and record personal and group climate actions. Each action’s estimated Energy Pay earnings and carbon reduction are displayed.
People and groups can see their efforts enrich the world. Carbon reduction, sustainability scores, and related indicators are displayed on your sustainability dashboard.
Earth Day Challenges
Syncwatt aims to host an Earth Day Challenge on the 22nd of each month. If the 22nd is on a weekend, the Earth Day Challenge will be on the Friday before the weekend of the 22nd. The Earth Day challenge will have a minimum of three winners. Each winner will receive a prize and Earth Day Champion recognition.
The type of Earth Day Challenge and prize can vary from month to month. Game rules and prizes will be announced before each Earth Day Challenge (Example: Earth Day Challenge 4/22/22).
Earth Day Challenge sponsors are welcomed! If you have a goal to increase climate literacy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, you are welcome to sponsor Earth Day Challenges. Sponsors are acknowledged and receive climate literacy/engagement credit.
